PENTECOST VIGIL
“Send forth your spirit O Lord. That the face if the earth be renewedâ€
Praying with one mind and heart the gathering of three hundred people kept whole night awake and prayed for the gift of the spirit. 7 June 2014 was the blessed day as the prayers began in the morning 9.00am to 3.00pm as part of the daily Saturday retreat. 3.00pm to 8.00pm there were intercessory prayers who prayed for the success of the night vigil of Pentecost. The night vigil began at 9.00pm with loud praise and worship. The solemn entry of the Sacrament and adoration was followed. The touching and inspiring talk by Fr.Andrew Leo, Parish Priest of Pakshikere shrine of St. Jude, Fr. Maxim Pinto SVD inspired people to know more about Holy Spirit. Leading to true contrition there was the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The midnight session was kept prayerful by DMPT Team who not only had their faith sharing but sang to the full the praises of the Lord, that all rejoiced in the Lord.
Healing session and anointing was done in the early hours of the day. The night vigil ended with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The whole night was kept alive as the Spirit moved and inspired all to pray more vigorously. It was real renewal of faith. The night remained bright as the prayers ascended to the throne of God, pouring down blessings to the all the faithful gathered.
