PENTECOST SPECIAL AT DCC – A NIGHT VIGIL
This year Divine Call Centre Mulki Mangalore celebrated Pentecost Day in a very special
way. The Centre had its usual One Day Retreat on 18th May, 2013, Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm, which was attended by a large number of people. There was a special Mass offered on that day for all those who had gathered for the retreat.
After the one day service, it was now time to prepare for the Mega event in the night “Pentecost Specialâ€. Therefore, the Retreat was followed by INTERCESSORY PRAYERS from 3 pm to 8pm. Many people came and joined in this Intercessory Prayer. We concluded put intercessory prayers at 8 pm. Later, all those who came for the Night Vigil were served dinner at 8 pm. After the dinner the Mega event “Pentecost Special†Night Vigil began around 8.30 pm with the Holy Rosary as it was the month of May. Sharp at 9 pm we began the praise and worship. Hundreds of people had gathered for this Pentecost Special Night Vigil. This night vigil included Praise and Worship, Marian Rosary, Divine Mercy Rosary, Special prayers with intentions, Word of God,
Thanksgiving, Petitions, Adoration, Holy Eucharist, and Anointing Session. This “Pentecost Specialâ€Night Vigil was conducted by Divine Call Centre Priests– Fr. Francis Fernandes, Fr. Abraham D’souza, Fr. Anil Kiran Fernandes, along with Bro. Sylvester Lobo from Mumbai. The whole night vigil was concluded with the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration at 4 am on the following morning followed by a special anointing session to mark the special event of Pentecost. The “Pentecost Special†Night Vigil was concluded at 6 am early in the morning on 19th May, 2013.
