Retreat in St. Joseph the Worker, parish Vamanjoor
A four-days retreat was held in Vamanjoor, St. Joseph the Worker, parish from the Ash Wednesday, 10 February till Saturday 13 February. The retreat was well attended, everyday, by a large number of the faithful of the parish. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, the Parish Priest, himself a well-known retreat preacher, was instrumental in getting the people into the mood of the retreat right at the beginning of the season of Lent. It was so delightful and enriching to see that many of the people came regularly all the four days of the retreat and participated actively in it. Various themes were explained during the retreat. The concentration was more on the Mercy of God, His goodness, His Love, and our response in Faith. The confessions were very long, meaningful and life-changing for many. The Eucharistic celebrations as well as Eucharistic Adorations were well conducted with meaningful music and hymns. The group of Altar servers did an excellent job. On the whole it was a very successful and spiritually enriching experience to all of us.
