FESTIVAL OF FAITH AT DCC
“That your eyes may be open night and day towards this house, the place of which you said, “My name shall be thereâ€, that you may heed the prayer that your servant prays towards this place†(1 Kings 8:29).
Divine Call Centre, Karnad, Mulki, celebrated its 9th anniversary with 24 hours of “Festival of Faith.†The festivity began with morning prayers at 6 am on 5th October 2013. Morning Holy Mass at 0630 am was followed by intercessory prayers in the Intercessory Chapel. At 9 am the convention Hall was crowded with people for the day long prayer convention. Rev. Fr. Francline Machado SVD gave a very lively message of the Word of God and strengthened the faith of the people.
Rev. Fr. Roman Pinto, Director of Charismatic Movement in the Diocese of Shivamoga, was the Chief Celebrant for the solemn Holy Mass at 11 am. A host of priests were present for the occasion. The convention hall was completely occupied with people. The inspired message delivered by Fr. Roman Pinto was very fitting to the occasion. There was festive lunch served to all devotees. Soon after the meal, the intercessors continued to pray for the needs of the church and the world in the Intercessory Chapel. At 9 pm the “Night of Faith†was solemnly inaugurated by lighting of the lamps by Rev. Fr. Abraham D’Souza SVD, Director of Divine Call Centre and other priests of the retreat centre. Divine Mercy Prayer Tower (DMPT) team took lead in conducting praise and worship, Holy Bible skits and worship of the Holy Eucharist. The Holy Eucharist was placed on a high pedestal behind a Burning Bush in order bring to mind the wonderful Burning Bush experience of Moses in the Old Testament. The program was so spiritually nourishing that people kept awake all through the night and reaped rich spiritual benefits. The Festival of Faith was concluded with Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Jesudas of St. Jude’s Church, Pakshikere, by conducting inner healing and anointing sessions. People dispersed to their homes at 630 am on Sunday.
