CHILDREN’S RETREAT AT MILAGREES CHURCH, KALYANPUR

“Let all children come to me.” Denary level one day Children’s Retreat was organized on 2nd of December in the Milagrees Church at Kalyanpur. Thisretreat was preached by Fr. Anil Kiran Fernandes SVD and Fr. Maxim Pinto SVD. Dn. Niran Veigas SVD, Bro. Prakash and Bro. Alwyn assisted them during the retreat. Around 500 children were present for this retreat from class 4th to 10th. The talks included topics such as WHO IS GOD? What is PRAYER, FAITH, FORGIVENESS and RECONCILIATION. At the end of the Retreat many expressed their views: “Today is the happiest day of my life. I have come to know about my God. I learned how to pray. Action songs kept us active. The thing I liked most from today’s retreat is making list of my sins and asking forgiveness from those who have hurt us.” “The Eucharistic celebration was really wonderful and inspiring. During the homily the priest gave a very wonderful homily as to how to prepare well for the Lord’s coming. He told us about three ways: Faith, Prayer and Life of purity-Humility.” “I felt very nice when I received Blessings form the Blessed Sacrament in which God is really present. Listing of my sins helped me a lot to remember all my sins and guided me to ask forgiveness from others.” Action songs, video songs, various talks, hymns etc., kept alive the spirit of the retreat. At the end of the retreat many children expressed their views and desire to attend many more retreats in the days to come. This overwhelming retreat gave boost to these children to know more about God. It was indeed a very wonderful and enriching spiritual experience to all of them.
