DCC WELCOMES IT’S NEW DIRECTOR FR. VALERIAN PIUS FERNANDES SVD
Saturday, June 14, 2014, Divine Call Centre, Kranad, Mulki welcomed it’s New Director in the person of Fr. Valerian Pius Fernandes SVD. Fr. Valerian, fondly called Fr. Vally, hails from Siddakatte, Mangalore, was born in 1961. He took his first vows in the Society of the Divine Word in 1985 and subsequently final vows in the Year 1991. He was ordained in the year 1992. Since then he worked as a missionary in Papua New Guinea for 19 years and then later came to India and worked for three years in an SVD formation house in Mysore.
Recently Fr. Valerian was appointed to Divine Call Centre, Mulki as its New Director. He took the charge on Saturday, June 14, 2014 during one day retreat at the centre. Fr. Valerian succeeds Fr. Abraham D’Souza SVD. Fr. Abraham welcomed Fr. Valerian to the Centre and handed him the tabernacle key as a sign of his taking over from him. In his short speech Fr. Valerian said, “I am only a steward but Lord is the real director of the Centre.†Divine Call Centre extends warm welcome to Fr. Vally and wished him God’s choicest blessings upon him
